Eastham – In Progress

Happy hot summer!  I’m finishing up my vacation and getting ready to head home to New York, but I couldn’t return without sharing at least one project I’ve been working on.

My latest finished quilt top features Denyse Schmidt’s last collection, Eastham.

I finished this quilt top before I left on vacation, but I held off on sharing it until I could take it with me so I could get some pics in the great outdoors.

Don’t you love the colors in this collection?  I give them two thumbs up.

The pattern I designed for this quilt is super easy.  It has larger blocks that require little cutting and easy piecing that comes together quickly.  I even would have finished the quilt top in one day, except I ran out of fabric.  Hate it when that happens!

FYI, the neutral solid color I used is Kona Cotton Bone.  It matches perfectly.

Now onto choosing a fabric for the back of this one!
