Daisy Chain Project for Annabel Wrigley

Today is a great day because I get to share with you a project I’ve been I’ve been anxiously awaiting to talk about.  I was asked to make a quilt for Annabel Wrigley’s upcoming fabric collection Daisy Chain, and the look book is now available!  You can see it on the Windham Fabrics website here and get a little preview before it comes out later this year.  Or as I would recommend, start planning your Daisy Chain quilt now!

Just like the Daisy Chain collection, the look book is so colorful and happy.  And If you flip to page six you can see the quilt I made!

The pattern is Denyse Schmidt’s Ship’s Ladder.  I’ve wanted to make a Ship’s Ladder quilt for a long time, so when Annabel asked, I was game.  FYI Daisy Chain has 23 SKUs and I mixed in 10 different coordinating solids as well.

It was Annabel’s idea to use the green fabric for the background and I think it was the right call.  I love the idea of using white as the background (like the pattern shows as an example), but I know that I tend to gravitate towards white a lot and it was nice to switch it up with something different.

The green fabric is from Windham’s Artisan Cotton collection and highly recommend it.  They have many different colors available and they quilt beautifully.

There are so many great fabrics in Daisy Chain.  I don’t think I can pick a favorite, but I’m really loving the stars.  Do you have a favorite?

That’s it for this one, guys.  I’m so happy I got to help Annabel with the look book.  Annabel is LittlePincushionStudio on Instagram and you can see lots of pics of Daisy Chain there.

One last note to leave you on.  I had enough Daisy Chain fabric leftover that I was able to make another quilt.  Whoop, whoop!  I recently finished it and I can’t wait to share it with you.
