Happy post-Thanksgiving, everyone. Hope you all had a wonderful holiday. I have family in town visiting so I’ve been busy doing a few touristy things around the city. Luckily they’ve been to New York many times before so they’ve hit the major attractions in previous visits. This trip is a bit more low-key and we’re just enjoying the city, especially since it’s the holiday season, which adds a little extra magic to New York.
But back to quilting.
Before Thanksgiving hit, I was busy finishing up my Tiger Lily quilt. I finally got around to buying the Heather Ross Tiger Lily fabric. I’m not sure what took me so long because I love it! I did have to sit on this one for a few weeks before I decided on a pattern. I went back and forth before I landed on a decision, and I’m glad I took some extra time to think about it because I’m pretty pleased with the finished quilt top. But I give all credit to the fabric, which makes this quilt.
I love the colors, the prints, everything.
For the back of the quilt, I think I might stick with Tiger Lily fabric instead of mixing in another designer or collection. I really love the pink forest print and I’m leaning towards that one for the back, but I also love the green forest print too. Or maybe I’ll choose something completely different! I might have to think on that for a bit.
Hope you all have a great week. I’ll be back soon with new projects!
